Caley Joy Bringmann, age 21, passed away as a result of a car accident on March 23, 2021, while visiting in Northern California.
Born on June 15, 1999, Caley was the daughter of Skipp and Jill Bringmann. She was raised in Anchorage, Alaska. She was a 2017 graduate of Dimond High School, where she played varsity volleyball and won three state championships. She left Alaska to attended college at Pima Community College in Arizona and played for the Aztec volleyball team. She transferred to Arizona State University to complete her degree in international business communications.
Caley was fluent in Japanese, having started in the Sand Lake Elementary Japanese immersion program in kindergarten and continued through college. She desired to work as a translator after college.
Caley with her big smile, curly blonde hair and outgoing personality she always lit up the room. She was kind and looked out for everyone. If you know the Bringmanns, they are all about family and good friends. Just like her middle name Joy, Caley continued this caring fun-loving spirit. On her summer breaks from college, she would return to Alaska to spend time with family and friends.
Caley was constantly laughing with her friends, nieces and nephew, whom she adored. Caley loved spending time fishing on the Kenai River with her mom, dad and the family.
Caley is survived by her parents, Skipp and Jill Bringmann; brother, Nik Bringmann and fiancee Molly; sister, Sage Bringmann; nieces, Shelby and Madlyn; nephew, Beckett; grandfather, Jerry Caley; uncles; aunt; cousins; and her fur person, Bronx.
Caley is preceded in death by grandparents, George and Madlyn Bringmann; and grandmother, Diann Caley.
A celebration of life may be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, the family would request donations to the Boys & Girls Club of Alaska or the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
