Robert F. "Bob" Nesvick Jr.

Robert "Bob" Francis Nesvick Jr., 70, passed away on Jan. 31, 2021, in Sun City West, Ariz., due to complications from COVID-19. Bob was born on June 6, 1950, in Holyoke, Mass. He served in the Alaska State Troopers from 1974 to 1990, retiring at the rank of Corporal. Bob also retired from the U.S. Airforce Reserve as a Special Agent with the Office of Special Investigation. He went on to serve as the Chief of Police in Metlakatla, Alaska, from 1993 to 1995, and with the U.S. Customs Service from 2001 to 2009.

In 1999, he met Sandy Lemke and they married on Sept. 30, 2005, in Anchorage, Alaska. They lived in numerous communities throughout Alaska, then Washington state, finally settling in Arizona.

Bob enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and traveling. He had many friends from his long carrier in law enforcement and enjoyed visiting with them at retired law enforcement reunions throughout the country.

Bob is survived by his wife, Sandy of Sun City West; his sons, Robert F. Nesvick III (Misty) of Anchorage, Joseph Nesvick of Eatonville, Wash., and David Ertel (Kara) of Eatonville, Wash. Bob is also survived by Bonnie Nesvick of Eatonville; sister, Diane Nesvick of Anchorage; sister, Cynthia Nesvick of Anchorage; brother, James Nesvick (Kim) of Anchorage; numerous grandchildren; nieces; great-nieces and great-nephews.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert F. Nesvick Sr., who passed away in 2019; and mother, Mary M. (Friel) Nesvick, who passed away in 2001.

A Celebration of Life was previously held on Feb. 11, 2021, in Arizona.
