Malik Ulysses Kelly passed away, at the age of 19, in Anchorage, Alaska, on Jan. 11, 2021.
Malik is the son of Viki Kelly, and was blessed to be raised by his dad, Marlon Kelly. He was building a relationship with his father, Damien "Pops" Dollison Sr.
Malik is a 2020 graduate of East Anchorage High School, and was a member of the basketball team. He discovered his passion for basketball in junior high school. While he was a gifted basketball player, he remained humble, and enjoyed playing with friends and family. His love for music expanded to all genres. He also loved his family, and put them first. He was naturally protective, loving person, with a big heart that quietly did everything within his power to make sure those that couldn't fend for themselves were safe.
His mother Viki Kelly shared: "Malik touched the lives of so many and never judged anyone. His 'old soul' allowed him to connect with people of all walks of life. He had a unique way of brightening your day when you needed it most. My son is loved deeply, will forever be missed and always be our Rockstar."

Malik is survived by his mother, Viki Kelly; fathers, Marlon Kelly and Damien Dollison Sr.; sisters, Reiara Smith, Iiasha Dollison, Aubrey, Monique, Brooklyn Kelly; brothers, Amari Kelly and Damien Jr.; grandmothers, Joyce Lovdahl, Barbara Brown, and Myonza Dollison, "Danti" Kari Marsh and Granny Smith; a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Malik was preceded in death by grandparents, Conrad and Cynthia Lovdahl; stepfather, Robert Lobdon Smith III; uncle, Allen Keith Dollison, Michael Marsh.
Services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021, at Greater Friendship Baptist Church, 903 E. 13th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501. Due to the pandemic, attendees will be limited to immediate family and invite only.
