Kenneth Taylor

Sep 26, 2020 -

Dec 13, 2020

Kenneth Andre Taylor was born in Fairbanks, Alaska, on Sept. 26, 1964, to Jessie Green-Garris and Thomas Taylor; both preceded him in death. He was Jessie's baby boy to his other seven siblings.

The family moved to Anchorage, Alaska, when he was 9 months old and walking. The family moved to Detroit, Mich., in 1975. Finally in 1983, Kenneth and his mother returned to Alaska to make Anchorage their home.

Kenneth met the love of his life and the mother of his children, Frances Lundy, in 1991. They were married on Oct. 16, 2002. He was a proud father to their children: Lapree, Eric, Marshea, Kennedy and Diane.

Poonie was fun-loving and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He had a passion for cooking, often bragging about his greens, fried chicken and barbecue. But his greatest joy in life was being with his family, especially the grands.

Kenneth left all too soon, on Dec. 13, 2020. He leaves to cherish his memory: one son, Eric Taylor (Carolyn); four daughters, Lapree Lundy (Anthony), Marshea Taylor, Kennedy Taylor and Diane Richards; five sisters, Deborah, Judy, Michele, Tanjia and Synora Green; two brothers, Dallas Green and Albert Green; 10 grandchildren; and a host of other friends and relatives.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
