Dec 4, 2020
On Friday, Dec. 4th, 2020, our beloved Gladys DelVillar went to be with the Lord at the age of 85.
She was a loving mother, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother.
Gladys was born on Feb. 16, 1935 in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. She spent several years in the Dominican Republic as a homemaker then got the opportunity to leave to Puerto Rico for a better life for her and her children. During her 3 years in Puerto Rico she had a total of 3 jobs to be able to quickly get her children. She found an opportunity to arrive in New York, at that time she sent for all her 6 children. After living in New York it was decided to make Anchorage, Alaska her home in 1978.
In addition to being a dedicated and loving mother, Gladys also loved her large family. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her.
These are a few of her favorite biblical scriptures…
Psalm 23 and Psalm 27.
