Linda M. Ramos, 87, passed away peacefully on Nov. 21, 2020, at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska.
A longtime Anchorage resident since 1965, she retired as a civilian budget analyst at Fort Richardson, Alaska, after 33 years of service. In retirement she enjoyed her life by traveling around the world with her faithful travel companion, spending the winter months in the Philippines with family, spending time with family and friends in North America and, when home, tending to her backyard garden.
She is survived by her two sons and daughter-in-law, Rommel of Anchorage, and Stephen and Jennifer of Yelm, Wash.; grandchildren, Sara of Spearfish, S.D., and Kristina of Omaha, Neb.; and sisters, Norma of Eugene, Ore., and Noemi of Madison, Wis. Linda was preceded in death by her husband, Andres; brothers, Felix Jr. and Manuel Sr. of the Philippines; and sister, Loida of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
A small private viewing will be conducted, in lieu of a funeral service, prior to cremation. A celebration of life service will be planned for a future date.
Her family wrote: "Linda loved her life and is fondly remembered for her generosity, her smile and her laugh. She enjoyed her life and those in it."
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name to Children's Hospital at Providence Alaska Medical Center.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Legacy Funeral Homes, Bragaw Chapel in Anchorage.
