Cora Better Ridley

Sep 23, 1958 -

Nov 12, 2020

On Nov. 12, 2020, we said our final farewell to Cora Ridley.

Born in Kotzebue, Alaska, to Belle and Simon Koenig, an illness forced her to move to Anchorage, Alaska, where she was adopted by Mr. and Mrs. Better in 1960. I met her in 2005, and married her on May 9, 2007, her daughter's birthday.

She is survived by her daughter, Dawn Stover; son, Dennis Griffen; brothers, Issac Koenig and Simon Koenig and their families; and sister, Gloria McKinley and family. My family loves her and misses her as well, and they are mother, Eva Merrifield; sisters, Clarissa Wulf, Colleen Anagick, Maryanne Meneses, Eva Mossbruc (Miss Eva Believa); and myself, Randall "Randy" Ridley, who was most fortunate of all to be in love and be loved back by this beautiful woman.

In special mention is her love for the Lord, our retired pastor Eldon Hicks and his wife Gloria, and our church family.

Although it is hard to love a loving soul like Cora, it is a beautiful memory and many of them that she left in our lives. I am thankful for that.

In closing, you made my life better, just by being you.
