James Hamilton

James was born in Eau Claire, Wis.

With an outgoing personality and generous with his knowledge of vehicle repairs, he made friends wherever he went. He began his mechanical education with the help of Jon Reynolds in Talkeetna, Alaska. James worked at Northwest Auto, at Alaska Auto for 10-plus years and for the City of Anchorage.

He is survived by brothers, Robert Hamilton (Laura Sandiston) and Daniel Hamilton (Wanda Hamilton). He was proud to let people know that included in his family were two brothers from another mother: Robyn and Dustin Hamilton. Survivors include his parents, William and Becky Hamilton; daughters, Nicole Benson and Crystal Waterbury; ex-wife, Audrey Hamilton; grandsons, Seth Avery Benson and Tyrone Trahan; special friend, Debbie Marmor; and her son, Matthew Vogus.

A celebration of life will be held in the spring.
