Keith Ryan Beecroft, 43, passed away unexpectedly at home in Eagle River, Alaska. Keith was born on Jan. 12, 1977 in Minneapolis, Minn. to Kenneth and Kathleen Beecroft.
He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. Keith courageously served 20 years in the US Army from February of 1995 to February of 2015. During his years in service he served four deployments, two of which were in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. Keith met Kate at his first duty station at Ft. Lewis, Wash. and married on July 28, 1996. They were then relocated to duty stations Ft. Bragg, N.C., Ft. Lee, Va., and JBER, Alaska to finally settle in Eagle River, Alaska in January of 2009. After retiring from the army Keith joined the Department of Corrections October of 2015.
In life, Keith enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and camping. He never grew tired of the variety of wildlife that Alaska had to offer. Everyone who knows him often referred to him being quiet in nature, a hard worker, and a loving and supportive man for his family. He will be forever missed by Kate and the girls.
Keith is survived by his wife, Kate Beecroft; and their two daughters, Madelyn and Ava Beecroft.
A service will be held in memory of Keith at St Andrew Catholic Church in Eagle River, AK on Oct. 30, at 12:30 p.m. and officiated by Father Arthur Roroff. Proceeding the service, Keith will be buried at Ft. Richardson National Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. The funeral procession will form at 2 p.m. at the Ft. Richardson main gate.
