James Robert Poier beloved son, brother, and dad passed away Oct. 21, 2020 in Anchorage, Alaska with his mom and sister by his side. James was born in Everett, Washington on March 11, 1974 to Charles Michael Poier and Dee Allenbrand. He grew up and attended school in Snohomish, Wash. He moved to Alaska in 2001. James loved to hunt, fish, 4-wheeling and spending time with his family. James has been a professional truck driver with the Teamsters Union Local 959 for over 20 years. James drove truck with Carlisle, Weaver Bros. and finished his career with Big Dreams Transport in Wasilla, AK. His favorite road to drive in Alaska was the Dalton Hwy to Prudhoe. James was known as "Speedy" in the trucking community because he could and would get the job done. James was loved by so many and will be missed. James leaves behind his daughter Katie Beismann of Bothell, WA; mother, Dee Allendbrand (Dallas) of Anchorage, AK; sisters, Amie Tisdale (Kris) of Anchorage, AK and LeAnne Marshall of Snohomish, WA. He also leaves behind his nieces, Kathryn and Alexandra Tisdale of Anchorage, AK, and Hannah Marshall of Snohomish, WA. He also leaves behind an uncle and many aunts and cousins. James is preceded in death by his dad, Charles Poier of Snohomish, WA; his grandparents, Robert and Kathryn Poier of Snohomish, WA, and Shirley McWilliams of Anchorage, AK; and his aunt, Lynda Wehr of Maui, Hawaii.
Due to COVID there will not be a service at this time .
The family wants to extend a special thank you to Big Dreams Transport for all your love and support during this time. Along with the Anchorage Fire Department Station 9, Providence Hospital Emergency room and ICU staff.
