Sep 7, 2020

Seward, Alaska, resident Mr. Brian Keith Sprinkle, 51, died on Monday, Sept. 7, 2020, at his friends' home in Seward.

No services will be held.

Brian was born on Sept. 29, 1968, in Anchorage, Alaska. He graduated from Piner High School. He joined the U.S. Marines and was honorably discharged after serving. He has lived in Alaska from birth to high school. As an adult he moved to Seward, where he was living currently.

The family wrote: "Brain passed away peacefully in Alaska, the state that has always held a special place in his heart. He was born in Anchorage and returned to his home state after leaving the Marines. He was a free spirit and very independent man. Brian never shied away from a fight, but was smart enough to pick and choose his battles. He would defend his family, loved ones and those unable to defend themselves. Brian was a loving and caring son, brother and father. He will be deeply missed."

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Max Sprinkle in 2010; and mother, Lorena Catherine Sprinkle in 2019.

He is survived by his brother, Jason Sprinkle of Clackamas, Ore.; sister, Corena Michnevich of Windsor, Calif.; daughter, Mariah Sprinkle; son, Derek Sprinkle and ex-wife, Robin Seifert of South Lake Tahoe, Nev.
