On Sunday, July 19, 2020, Javier Moncada Jr., "Javi," loving son, brother, brother-in-law and uncle, passed away, at the age of 49. He will be missed by everyone who knew him and his legacy will live on forever in our hearts and memories.
Javi was born on Nov. 23, 1970, in Laredo, Texas, to Javier Moncada Sr. and Maria Luisa (Olivo) Moncada. Javi served in the U.S. Army in the 1st Battalion, 501st Parachute Infantry Regiment at Fort Richardson base. He also attended the University of Anchorage Alaska and graduated in 2003, with an Associates of Arts in applied science. He will be remembered for his infectious smile and humorous laugh and his dedication to the dialysis patients and the staff of Fresenius and Tudor Dialysis.
Javi is preceded in death by his uncle, Esteban Olivo. He is survived by his parents, Javier Moncada Sr. and Maria Luisa (Olivo) Moncada; sisters, Ana (Gerardo) Fernandez, Patti Moncada and Crystalee (Douglas) Brown; nieces, Giselle (Jeremy) Urbanavage, Viancy Solis, Mikayla Brown, Evelyn Brown and Xenia Fernandez; nephews, Julio (Briana) Fernandez, Arturo Fernandez and Dariel Solis; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and his godson, Daniel Corpuz; along with countless friends.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Javi's Dialysis Clinic Family for helping assist them during this difficult time.
A funeral will be held with a viewing on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial from 5-7 p.m. A memorial fund has been made in his honor at Wells Fargo under his name.
