Tom Leonard, beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend, passed away on May 12, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Seattle, Wash., on Oct. 2, 1954, Tom was raised in the Pacific Northwest before heading to Alaska in search of adventure—and found a lifetime of it.
A hardworking entrepreneur, Tom built a successful flooring business through grit, determination and quiet integrity that earned the respect of everyone who knew him. But work never defined him as much as the way he lived—with passion, humor and kindness.
Tom enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved fishing, hunting, golfing, traveling and music—there was always a tune in his heart and a dessert on his mind. No one had a sweeter tooth.
A lifelong Seattle Mariners fan, Tom never wanted to miss a baseball game. Through every season—win or lose—he remained loyal to his team, always believing that next year would be the one.
Tom had a gift for lifting people up. His gentle humor, generosity and natural optimism touched everyone he met. He was the kind of person who made you feel better just by being around him.
More than anything, Tom cherished time with family and friends. His love for them was deep and enduring, and he built a lifetime of memories filled with laughter, connection and joy.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Teri Leonard; daughter, Jessie Boulier and her husband David; and beloved grandchildren, Brielle and Braydon.
He was deeply loved and will be missed beyond measure.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date to share stories, music and sweet treats in his honor.
