May 22, 2021

Robert Grozier, 39, passed away surrounded by family on May 22, 2021, in Anchorage, Alaska. On March 28, 1982, Robert was born in Anchorage to Andrew Grozier and Angela Knight. Robert was a Longshoreman at the Port of Anchorage.

Robert loved the outdoors anything from fishing, boating, camping, road trips and bonfires! Robert was a great man; he had the ability to find good in everyone he met. He made each person in his life feel special and loved and would always go out of his way to help a friend in need. Robert loved adventures, he could be found fishing in his boat, building bonfires and camping, many times with his nieces and nephews along by his side. He loved most of all spending time with his friends and family making them laugh and see the joy in his life; to many he was the most loyal friend they have ever had, and he will be greatly missed.

Robert is survived by his father, Andrew and stepmother, Viola Grozier; mother, Angela Knight; brothers, John Akerelrea, Reuben Grozier and Benjamin Metcalf; sisters, Stephanie Knight, Shawna Grozier, Sharon Grozier and Louis Knight; and stepsister, Kaye Hill.

A visitation will be held at Janssen's Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street in Anchorage, on June 3, 2021, at 3 p.m. The burial will follow at Anchorage Memorial Park, 535 East 9th Avenue in Anchorage, at 5 p.m. Pallbearers include: Reuben Grozier, Robert Schembeck, Kamarie Farris and Tim Kost.
