Becky passed away on the morning of June 14, 2021, in the presence of her family after a battle with cancer.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, teacher, author, photographer, organizer, adventurer, world traveler and an all-around true Alaskan woman.
She was born in Anchorage, Alaska, on March 31, 1950. Her school years were spent back and forth between Anchorage and Grand Junction, Colo. Becky and Ross were married June 1972, and have been adventuring together ever since.
Becky was an elementary teacher with the Anchorage School District from the fall of 1972 until 2015. After retirement she continued as a long term substitute and reading teacher until 2019. Becky and her sister Beverly founded the Alzheimer's Resources of Alaska in 1984. She loved spending time with her family and friends at the lake. Becky always found an excuse to host a good party, especially around the holidays, you've probably had her famous Christmas cookies. She loved to help people.
Her family consists of her husband of 49 years, Ross Clement; son, Luke Clement with granddaughters Story and Lillamor; son, Ash with his wife Sophia Clement and granddaughter, Elke; sister, Beverly Tallman with husband Dale Tallman, nephew Dustin Tallman and his family, niece Tennie Bentz and her family, niece Emily Jones and her family; brother, Bid Irvin with nieces Tiffany Irvin and Tammy Irvin; not to mention the countless number of cousins and extended family located in Alaska and around the country.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bid Irvin Sr. and Martha Irvin; and brother, Patrick Irvin of Anchorage.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Becky's name to either Alzheimer's Resource of Alaska or the Anchorage Ski Club youth education programs.
