Raymond Allen Monroe, age 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 23, 2023, while in hospice care in Anchorage, Alaska.

Raymond was born in Torrance, Calif. He left California for Alaska when he was 21 years old.

Ray, as he was known, was a resident of Palmer, Alaska. Ray worked in the construction field, mainly doing drywall installation.

Ray had a love for the outdoors like many Alaskans. He loved to fish and barbecue. Ray loved his dogs. A little unknown fact about Ray was that he was an accomplished organ player.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Monroe and Mary Abreu; and wife, Linda Monroe. Raymond is survived by his son, Austin Monroe; stepson, Nathan; sister, Joyce; brother, Ronald; three nieces; and one nephew.

Memorial services will be set in the future and will be private.
