Leslie Murphy, 68, of Eagle River, Alaska, passed away on July 7, 2021, in Anchorage, Alaska.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Evergreen Funeral Home in Eagle River.

A Graveside funeral will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at 1 p.m., at Valley Memorial Park in Palmer, Alaska, with Pastor Wendell formerly of Dillingham Seventh-day Adventist Church officiating. Arrangements are by Evergreen Funeral Home.

Leslie was born in Missoula, Mont., to Mr. Lester and Mrs. Donna (Lanegan) Wilhelm on Dec. 10, 1952. She graduated from high school in Haines, Alaska. She married Larry Murphy on May 7, 1974, in Anchorage. Leslie graduated from Alaska Skills Center in Seward, Alaska. She worked as a postal clerk for USPS for over 10 years in Aleknagik, Alaska. She was a board member for the school board in Dillingham, Alaska.

Leslie is survived by her husband, Larry; children, Denese, Duke (Nell), Lorna (Matt), Debra and Larry (Elizabeth); grandchildren, Brian, Colton, Kimberly, Katelyn, Lynda, Jaquelyn, Nicholas, Gwendolyn, Dominic, Kahlan, Celene and Luna; and great-grandchildren, Tuesday and Delaney. She is also survived by siblings, Roy and Travis; and goddaughter, Katie Newsome.
