Kenneth W. Isaak

Kenneth William Isaak, 87 years old, of Mesa, Ariz., passed away peacefully on Jan. 17, 2023, in Gilbert, Ariz., surrounded by his family.

Ken was born on April 19, 1935, to Leo and Margaret Isaak. Ken was raised in rural South Dakota, graduated from Holy Cross High School and then entered the U.S. Marine Corps. Afterwards, he attended university, ultimately earning a master's degree in hospital administration from the University of Minnesota.

While in Mitchell, S.D., after his service in the Marine Corps, he met Jeanne Isaak, and later married her at Holy Family Church in South Dakota on Feb. 17, 1962. After serving his internships, he went to work for the U.S. Government, running the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage, Alaska; during his tenure there, Ken was highly recognized for all his work and efforts in supporting the public health for all Alaskans. In retirement, Ken was an avid reader of history and fiction and traveled when able.

Ken was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jeanne Anne Isaak; and son, Christopher. He is survived by children, Steven, Beth, Scott and Thomas; and grandchildren, Sarah and Yusef.

Ken's remains will be interred, with his beloved wife, at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Maricopa County, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Hospice of the Valley.
