Kenneth O. Taylor Jr.

Jan 7, 1952 -

Jul 4, 2021

A light has gone out in the world for those who knew Ken. Ken died on July 4, 2021, after months of illness. Ken was born on Jan. 7, 1952, in Augusta, Ga., to the late Kenneth O. Taylor Sr. and Annie Clough Taylor.

Ken retired on June 1, 2021, from the Anchorage School District. He was an unparalleled locksmith who never met a safe or lock he couldn't open. Ken was a natural comedian who made everyone around him smile. He was kind and generous and he will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, Lester Bailie.

He is survived by his sisters, Deborah A. Taylor of Anchorage, Alask,a and Catherine Dell Taylor of Dalton, Ga.; niece, Kendell Taylor; great-nephew, Johnathon Taylor; nephew, Scott Bailie and his wife Con; great-nieces Audrey of Barrow, Alaska, and Danika of Bethel, Alaska; great-nephew, Aaron of New Zealand; and too many cousins and friends to list.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021, from 1-3 p.m., at Legacy Witzleben Funeral Home, 1707 Bragaw Street, Anchorage, AK 99508.

In lieu of flowers, Ken would want you to play hooky, go fishing, laugh, tell jokes and make sure you tell those you love every day how much they are loved. A donation to the American Heart Association or American Diabetes Association would be very much appreciated. Ken had both, but it was his big, loving, kind generous heart that just gave out.
