Jermaine Ladrial Summerville

Aug 12, 1978 -

Aug 31, 2021

Lifelong Alaskan Jermaine Ladrial Summerville transitioned to heaven on Aug. 31, 2021, in Anchorage, Alaska.

Jermaine was born on Aug. 12, 1978, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He grew up in Fairbanks until the age of 9, then moved to Anchorage with his mother and two younger brothers. In Anchorage, he later attended East High School and UAA. He worked at Advantial Credit Union before spending the last 20 years working for AlaskaUSA Federal Credit Union.

Jermaine will always be remembered for his deep bass voice and contagious smile; a man who knew no strangers and was generous with his unconditional love, encouragement and support; a man who always paid attention to the details of life and had a genuine concern for others. We will always recall his ability for hilarious storytelling, his valiant attempts to protect everybody he loved, his love for barbeques and his sweet tooth.

Jermaine was born with a natural gift of love, the most precious gift of life. Jermaine loved to workout at the gym, go fishing, ride his motorcycle and spend time with family and friends. He was a lover of God, his family and all people. He was hard-working and loved the escape of fishing on the Russian River and traveling to the Lower 48 to visit family and friends. And while we would all like to believe that he is resting peacefully in heaven, he is more likely fishing the broad rivers and streams of heaven with the Master Fisherman, his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I'm sure he is telling big stories and laughing big with all those he is reunited with.

Jermaine Summerville was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Harper; grandmother, Fannie Mac George; grandfather, VT Harper; Auntie Mother Velma Miller; and uncle, Amrose Summerville. He leaves behind his mother, Theresa Finks; brothers, Quentin Johnson of Atlanta, Texas, and Desmon Love of Tyler, Texas; sister, Shanette Harper of Anchorage; brothers, JoJo Finks and Demetrius Finks of Anchorage; and Markus and Brandon Wright of Anchorage; closest auntie, Debra Davis; closest uncle, Almon Summerville; loving wife, Suzanne Summerville; and many beloved uncles, aunts, cousins and nephews; along with a host of family and friends.

A Visitation and Memorial Service will take place at the Faith Works Global Ministries, 552 West 58th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99518, on Saturday, Sept. 25, 2021, from 2-5 p.m. Out of respect, and to honor the wishes of Jermaine's Family, this service will be for family and those by invite only.
