Jane Frances Baumer of Eagle River, Alaska, was called to Heaven on Aug. 27, 2026, after battling cancer.

In going home, Jane is survived by Patrick; their children, Jeff (Kelli) Baumer, Pam (Robert) VanDenBerg and Tina (Jeremy) Henry; grandchildren, Michaela Cox, Megan Hennings, Jessica Snell, David VanDenBerg, Jacob Henry and Joshua Henry; as well as seven great-grandchildren; and siblings, Patricia Sprain, Ken (Shawn) Sprain and Caroline Sheehan.

She is preceded in death by her son, Timothy, who died shortly after birth; her parents; best friend, Irene Schroeder; and her father and mother-in-law.

If you wish to contribute to a memorial, the family requests memorials made in honor of Jane's life be contributed to Peace Lutheran Church, 11555 Birch Hills Drive, Eagle River, AK 99577.

Services will be at Peace Lutheran on Sept. 19, 2026, at 2 p.m., with burial to follow at a date to be determined, next to her parents at St. John's in Barre Mills.
