Mrs. Georgia M. Smallwood entered into rest on May 21, 2026. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church in North Augusta, S.C. Interment will take place at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

Mrs. Smallwood, a native of Asheville, N.C., was a member of Old Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Deacon Emeritus Warren J. Smallwood Sr.; daughter, Ayrika G. N. (Joseph) Fletcher; two sons, Pastor Warren J. (Rosa) Smallwood Jr. and Joseph D. (Rodlynn) Smallwood; stepdaughter, Angela Smallwood; three sisters, Asenath Elam Rout, Sheila L. (Rahsaan) Wakisa and Lorinda D. Elam; two brothers, George W. Elam Jr. and Roderick D. Elam; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of other loving relatives and friends.

Viewing will be held from 2-5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at the funeral home, G. L. Brightharp & Sons Mortuary, 614 West Avenue in North Augusta.
