George Nikolaj Marchuk

George Nikolaj Marchuk died on Sept. 11, 2026, at 68 years old.

Born on April 4, 1958, in Trenton, N.J., George moved to Delta Junction, Alaska, as a child. He graduated from Trenton State College and spent 33 years teaching physical education with the Anchorage School District. A devoted Christian and father, George loved sports, music, humor and his Ukrainian heritage.

He is survived by his wife, Paula; children, Erin, Lori and Jordan; four grandchildren; brother, Walter; and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sept. 26, 2026, at Faith Christian Church in Anchorage. Donations may be made to NAMI.
