Elise Block

Elise Anne (Poirot) Block was born in Douglas, Wyo., on May 15, 1958, to Norma Ann Reese and Russell Allen Poirot. Norma and the children moved to Alaska in the late '60s and settled in Palmer in the Butte area, where she met the love of her life, David Block. David and Elise Block were married on June 29, 1985, and remained married for over 39 years.

Elise is preceded in death by her brother, Craig Poirot; mother, Norma; and father, Russell.

Elise was a loving wife, auntie and friend. She loved much and was much loved. She will be missed by all.

There will be a funeral service for Elise on June 6, 2025, at 2 p.m., at the Legacy Funeral Home, Wasilla Heritage Chapel, 1015 S Check Street in Wasilla, Alaska, with a potluck following. She will be buried in the Butte cemetery.
