Desiree Beedle passed away peacefully in her sleep on Aug. 22, 2026. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, love for her family, her strong work ethic, her love for little dog Barbie and the many memories she created with family and friends.

Born on Sept. 8, 1963, in Big Spring, Texas, Desiree was the daughter of Edgar Wilson Sipple and Shirley Ann Sipple. With her father in the United States Air Force, the family drove up to Alaska when she was 9 years old. She grew up on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula as the middle child of three, with her older brother, Edgar Jr., and younger sister, Rebecca. Her mother, Shirley, passed away at the young age of 42; Desiree carried that loss with her and missed her mother throughout her life.

Desiree found purpose and satisfaction in her role as an elementary school cafeteria manager. She loved her work and the children she served, approaching each day with high standards, determination and a commitment to excellence. She took pride in doing her job well and in being a dependable presence for the students and staff around her. She would sneak extra food to the kids as often as she could. She loved them so much.

Her family was an important part of her life. Desiree was especially close to her sons, Anthony and Austin, and she encouraged her children in their goals. She was a fierce advocate who made sure they had someone in their corner. She also enjoyed time with family and friends, traveling, sewing, baking with her grandkids and trips to the casino.

After surviving two heart attacks, Desiree gave God credit for extending her life and remained grateful for the additional years she was given. Her laughter, strong spirit and memorable presence will remain with those who knew her.

Desiree is survived by her husband, Evan; children, Andrea, Anthony, Austin, Kenny, Tyson and Logan; 16 grandchildren; brother, Edgar Sipple Jr.; and sister, Rebecca Younce. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Shirley Sipple; and eldest daughter, Aubrey.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2026, at Mountain City Church in Anchorage, Alaska. All are welcomed. The family invites those in attendance to honor her with wearing colorful attire. Her favorite color was purple. Desiree will be laid to rest beside her mother at Angelus Memorial Cemetery on Klatt Road in Anchorage.
