Oct 16, 2026

Demetrius John Marth (Navarre) died at home in Wasilla on Oct. 16, 2026. He was 46. Born in Anchorage on Oct. 25, 1979, to Lucinda "Cindy" White and David John Marth, Demetri was a lifelong Alaskan who lived in Peters Creek, Kenai, Anchorage and Wasilla, Alaska. He attended Colony High School and worked as a store manager for his family's business for many years. At the time of his death, he was working for Ace Concrete Contracting.

Demetri was a kind and thoughtful man who was deeply loved by his family and many friends. Though he often struggled to see himself in as positive a light as others did, his final years were some of the brightest of his life. He had recently embraced his Christian faith. He was saved on Aug. 5, 2025, and baptized on Nov. 10, 2025, at Farm Loop Christian Center in Palmer. He was active in his church and recovery communities and was extremely proud of the example he was setting for others through his journey. Above all, he was proud of his daughter, Taylor, who was not only his source of inspiration but also his best friend. A lifelong fan of Seattle sports teams, he recently had the opportunity to take Taylor to a Mariners game in Seattle and often talked about his desire to share more adventures with her in the future.

He loved fishing, playing softball, collecting sports cards, playing bingo, being outdoors and spending time with his family. He had a quick wit and a wry smile and will be forever remembered for his gentle spirit, enormous heart and dry sense of humor.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his children, Taylor Marth and Alex Massey, and their mother, Mandy Lambert, all of Palmer; stepfather, Patrick Navarre of Wasilla, who raised him from a young age and with whom he shared a home for much of his life; sister, Davida Navarre White of Seattle; brothers, Jared (Emma) Navarre of Nashville, Shane Navarre of Cave Creek, Ariz., and Daniel (Kaitlyn) Navarre of Palmer; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

His loss will leave an immense hole in the lives of all who knew and loved him. But his family draws comfort from the knowledge that he found peace and strength in the Lord in his final years, and for that, they are forever grateful.

A celebration of life will be held at noon Saturday, Nov. 7, 2026, at Farm Loop Christian Center in Palmer.
