David T. Roberts

David Taylor Roberts was born on Oct. 4, 1955, in Walnut Creek, Calif. He died peacefully in his sleep on March 12, 2021, with his wife, Shelli, by his side at their home in Anchorage, Alaska.

David was a brilliant, gifted doctor, a loving husband, father, brother and son, with a big heart, a happy personality and a loving nature. He had a passion for helping others, and enjoyed serving in church, creating things at home, family history and his pets. He had an infectious sense of humor and was able to bring joy and laughter to those around him. He was the best listener, making anyone who spent time with him feel like they were the only one who mattered. He enjoyed any opportunity to uplift or heal suffering of any kind.

David was preceded in death by his father, Brooks Gleason; mother, Sara/Sally Roberts; stepfather, Max Roberts; niece, Stephanie Smith; stepsister, Mary Roberts; and aunts and uncles. He is survived by his wife, Shelli Gibson Roberts; siblings, Sandra Smith, Judy Barrowes (Kendall) and Mary Carpenter (Raymond); stepsiblings, Derrell Roberts (Renee), Janece Justice and Dean Roberts; and by his children, Sara Litz (David), David Roberts Jr. (Heather), Joshua Roberts (Ashley), Joseph Roberts (Cierra), Hannah Roberts (Andrew), Gabriel Roberts (Alison), Erik Roberts, Heidi Granzini (Axel), Rodney Roberts, Ryan Roberts, Rachel Roberts, Russel Roberts, Chris Bryner, Kari Proulx (Jonathan), Gina Driggers (BJ) and Evan Bryner. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and remembered by many more.

An Alaska Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 26, 2021, at 1 p.m. at the LDS Chapel at 1311 Brayton Drive in Anchorage.

A Utah Memorial Service will be held on Friday, April 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the LDS Chapel at 1150 E 1240 S, Spanish Fork, UT 84660, with interment following at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, 420 S 400 E, Spanish Fork, UT 84660.
