Cecil Albert Nelson Jr., 57, passed away on July 11, 2026, in Wasilla, Alaska. He was born to Cecil Albert Nelson Sr. and Beverley Ann Jasper on March 23, 1969, in Fairbanks, Alaska. He was a member of the Plumber and Steamfitters, UA Local 367 for 26 years, 1999-present, and worked for the Wolf Creek Federal Services as a plumber from December 2007-present. He met Teresa Nelson working together at Muldoon Fred Meyers and later married on Dec. 21, 1999, in Anchorage Chapel of Love. He was preceded in death by his mother; Beverley Ann Jasper. Cecil graduated from Wasilla High School in 1987 and Plumber Trade School in 1999. He went to Faith Bible Fellowship Church in Big Lake, Alaska. Cecil enjoyed snowmachining, hunting, golfing, fishing with his children, was avid outdoorsman, loved skiing and had a very green thumb and passion for bonsai trees. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we choose to remember the love, laughter and memories that will forever remain with us. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

Services will take place on Aug. 29, 2026, at 1 p.m., at Meadow Lakes Baptist and are officiated by Travis Bower. His ashes will be scattered privately with family at Hatcher Pass.

He is survived by his spouse, Teresa Nelson of Wasilla; daughter, Chelsey Lamb of Tucson, Ariz.; son-in-law, Devin Lamb of Tucson; son, Cassidy Nelson of Meadow Lakes, Alaska; daughter-in-law, Janae Nelson of Meadow Lakes; son, Mitchell Nelson of Meza, Ariz.; grandsons, Caspen Nelson and Copper Nelson of Alaska; granddaughter, Caylee Nelson of Alaska; sister, Sandra Schwartzbauver of Alaska; and father, Cecil Nelson Sr.
