Catherine Lucille Hample, 68, of Wasilla, Alaska, formerly of Bellwood, passed away on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025, at Mat-Su Medical Center in Wasilla, after battling kidney failure and diabetes. She was born in Hudson, Mich., daughter of the late Benjamin Pinney and Margaret Mackey.

She married Jeffrey Hample at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Tyrone, on June 18, 1977.

Surviving are her husband; son, Scott Hample; daughter, Amanda Hand; three grandsons, Oscar and Jason Hample and Tyler Hand; four granddaughters, Sarah, Kaitlyn and Melanie Hample and Isabella Hand; and sister, Carla Green.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother, Bill Mackey; grandson, Benjamin Hample; and granddaughter, Lauren Hample.

Catherine earned her master's degree from The University of Phoenix and had worked at the Alaska Department of Corrections and Providence Alaska Medical Center.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Wasilla.

Catherine loved her family and enjoyed time spent with her grandchildren.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
