Aug 30, 2022

Longtime Anchorage, Alaska, resident Bruce E. Muse peacefully passed away the morning of Aug. 30, 2022. Bruce was born on Oct. 3, 1950, to parents Victor and Mavis Muse, who traveled the world while with the Corp of Engineers. Following graduation from the Panama Canal Zone, Bruce attended University of Alaska Fairbanks, where he studied biology. In 1973, Bruce made Anchorage his home.

During his youthful years he worked for the Alaska Railroad and State of Alaska, Fish & Game, and enjoyed summers on Alaska rivers, where he learned to be an avid fisherman. Bruce joined the Carpenters Union which took him to various Alaska villages, Washington and Oregon. Following his return to Anchorage, work took him to Japan, the Philippine Islands - where he learned to scuba dive - and to England. Bruce finished his carpenters career in Anchorage and later enjoyed a job as a school bus driver.

Bruce is survived by his sister, Marilyn; and brother, Larry. He is dearly missed by his daughter, April Muse; and son, Darin Muse.
