Alice V. White

Alice V. White died on Oct. 20, 2021, peacefully at her home. Alice, who went by Vinnetta, was born in Sutter Creek, Calif., on Feb. 21, 1932. She met and married her husband, Mac White, in June 1950 in California. Mac, Alice's husband precedes her in death. Alice moved with her husband and four girls to Alaska from California in 1965. A new adventure began for her.
Alice was a homemaker for most of her life. but did work for a few years here in Alaska for Safeway managing the snack bar. She loved gardening. There was nothing that made her happier than digging in the dirt and creating beauty with flowers and bushes. She enjoyed snowmachining with her husband and friends in the winter. She loved camping and fishing with family and friends. Alice did beautiful knitting work. She knitted four beautiful Alaska sweaters, as well as throws. She created Kleenex boxes out of yarn and plastic.
Alice leaves behind her four daughters, Terrie Sitton with son-in-law Steve Sitton, Gerrie Estes with son-in-law Roy Estes, Toni Smith with son-in-law John Smith and Jackie Doubleday with son-in-law Don Doubleday; grandchildren, Charles Lee Wheeler, Sherisa Crevier, Batina Farris, Shelly Smith, Jessie Klingenberg and Nicole Klingenberg; great-grandchildren, Rebecca Irancso with husband Kirk Irancso, Hailey Daniels, Ashley Daniels, Preston Klingenberg, Jordan Smith, Tyler Ferris and LeAnna Alps; and great-great-grandchildren, Elliott Klingenberg and Rider Farris. Alice was also preceded in death by grandson Jeremy Smith.
Alice also leaves behind many wonderful and special friends that she cared about.
